I saw this banner on the Ufone website announcing the launch of Blackberry Z10 and decided to call their helpline. The handset was available in the grey market between PKR 65,000 to 75,000. Ufone has thrown in the best price yet, launching it for PKR 60,000 with official Blackberry Warranty.

According to news confirmed by the Abu Dhabi Group itself, Asia’s largest telecom operator – SingTel – has decided to sell its 30% stake in Warid Telecom after a “Strategic Review” of the company. Abu Dhabi Group is the buyer that has re-acquired 100% holding of Warid Telecom after purchase of the 30% stake for USD 150 million.
In 2007, SingTel had bought a stake in Warid for USD 758 million describing its decision to invest in Warid as a “natural fit” following its investments in India and Bangladesh as well.
As evident above, SingTel has sold off its stake at a significant loss.
